Competition Terms and Conditions
1.1. The promoter is Trutex Limited, Taylor Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 1NL and is referred to as the “promoter” in these terms and conditions.
1.2. To enter the competition, tell us what being true to yourself means. Entries must be via the entry form on the Trutexbtru2u.com website, social media channels: Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or by post to #bTRU2u Competition, Trutex Ltd, Jubilee Mill, Taylor Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 1NL. Please include name and contacts details for entries submitted by post. Entries to the competition can be made in writing, by posting a video or submitting a photograph. Entries submitted by any other means will be rejected. Competition entries cannot be returned.
1.3. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so.
1.4. Only one entry per person. No automated, bulk, third party or consumer group entries permitted. Any person found to be using multiple entries to win the competition will be automatically disqualified.
1.5. Entrants must:
1.5.1. be UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) [and aged 18 or over] OR [and aged 18 or over or, if you are aged under 18, you must seek the permission of a parent or guardian before entering this compeition.]
1.5.2.not be employees of Trutex Ltd or John Hall Schoolwear, their immediate families or their agents or anyone else connected with the competition.
1.6. All entries must be received by 23.59 on 4th January 2021. All entries received after that time are automatically disqualified.
1.7. No responsibility will be accepted for any entries which are not received for any reason including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Entries which are illegible will not be entered into the competition.
1.8. There is one prize of a voucher to the value of £500 retail value to spend on Trutex school uniform of the winner’s choice and 100 Anti-bullying wristbands. The winner can choose their uniform from the website www.trutex.com, but order must be placed by 1st September 2021. The prize is as stated, is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The promoter reserves the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the advertised prize or any part of it become unavailable for any reason.
1.9. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges including, Matthew Easter (Managing Director Trutex Ltd) and Rowena Allen (Marketing Manager Trutex Ltd) on 5th January 2021. Winner will be chosen by assessing the creativity and content of the messages, photos and videos received via the channels available. The judges’ decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into other than with the winner.
1.10. The winner will be notified by an email or phone call on w/c 11th January 2021.
1.11. The prize will be sent by post to the winner no later than 14 working days after they have confirmed their delivery address.
1.12. In the event that the winner refuses acceptance of the prize or the promoter is unable to make contact with the winner within 7 days following the notification date, the promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative entrant. The promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
1.13. Insofar as is permitted by law, the promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the promoter or its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
1.14. All competition entries submitted to the promoter will become the property of the promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
1.15. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
1.15.1. assign to the promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
1.15.2. waive all moral rights,
in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
1.16. You agree that the promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its websites, Trutexbtru2u.com and/or www.trutex.com, and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, for promotional purposes and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable right in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.
1.17. If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the promoter may use your name, image (including any videos or photographs submitted as your competition entry) and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
1.18. By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by the promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition. The promoter will never use nor release your personal details to any company for mailing or marketing purposes.
1.19. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the promoter may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition.
1.20. The promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
1.21. This competition and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
1.22. This competition is not open to residents in Northern Ireland.
